Hello All, I am thrilled to be a Brainiac and am honoured to be a Brainiac Captain responsible for recruitment. Two years ago I would say I did the Ride for selfish reasons as I was in rehab after lower back surgery. Then in 2012 my back was much stronger and I was thrilled on Father's Day weekend to do the Ride with my 17 year old son Ryan. So now after two rides, it is appropriate that I give back as best I can. I am so fortunate to be good friends with numerous Brainiac leaders .......... Paul, Ray, Pete and David did the `Ride` for the past several years and are most generous in inspiring me, in finding me and Ryan bikes, offerring training tips and taking us on their ``Brainiacs`` team.
So again for the 2013 Ride to Conquer Cancer will benefit BC Cancer Foundation and is a two-day cycling journey from Vancouver to Seattle on Father's Day weekend. Although this will be somewhat challenging, it can not compare to those challenges for those dealing with cancer. Please consider making a donation and a real impact to this worthwhile cause as we strive to be the first team in RTCC history to raise $1,000,000. Your generousity is truly appreciated.
Live in North Vancouver, near Edgemont Village and work in Vancouver at Cambie and Broadway.....I consider myself an intermediate rider, trying to advance.
Truly looking forward to riding with our massive team.
allgood as a Brainiac, David
