Last year, in June 2013, I was humbled to watch 2,600 riders cross the finish line for the Ride to Conquer Cancer - an amazing 200 km ride from Vancouver to Seattle.
My father, as part of the group called the Brainiacs, was one of these riders.
I was so inspired by meeting the participants in the June 2013 event, that I vowed to ride with my dad in June 2014.
My grandfather lost a battle to brain cancer at the age of 65. It was shocking to see such an avid biker, runner and curler lose his life so quickly. Like you, I also have other family members who have battled cancer, and I would like to be able to ride to help clinicians, scientists, and researchers develop new discoveries and improved patient outcomes for cancer patients.
